Starting Friday, June 2, 2017 WUBU FM listeners will be given the opportunity to text “MIXVIP” to 45364 to qualify to be entered to win two tickets and hotel accommodations to the Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana!  From June 2 – June 12, WUBU FM will promote the text number via an email sent to their concert database. Then, starting June 12, they will incorporate on-air promotions. The first fifteen (15) people to qualify will win a coupon for a free Extra Value Meal provided by McDonald’s. All participants will be entered to win the main prize of two tickets and hotel accommodations to the Essence Festival. Contest ends on June 16 and a winner will be chosen at random and notified on June 17, 2016.  Winner must have contact information for self and guest to WUBU FM no later than 12:00 P.M. WUBU FM ESSENCE Festival Giveaway Contest Official Rules

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Must be 21 years of age to enter.   One entry per person per contest; duplicate entries may result in disqualification from the contest.
2. Entrants shall indemnify and hold WUBU FM/Federated Media (“Sponsor”) and McDonald’s USA, LLC, and each of their parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, franchisees, employees, agents and assigns, harmless from and against an and all third party claims, losses, damages or injuries (including death or bodily injury) of any kind or nature whatsoever arising from or in relation to: (A) Sponsors hereunder; (B) Sponsors’ performance of the promotion, including without limitation company’s failure to conduct the promotion in accordance with the official rules of the promotion and all applicable laws; and (C) Participation in the promotion or any promotion related activity, or from participants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize.
3. Prizes awarded in the contest include (A) 15 qualifying prize packs that include coupons for McDonald’s “featured items” menu items that will be redeemable only at McDonalds in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan (Provided by McDonald’s; Approximate Retail Value $7.00); and/or (B) A Grand Prize including two tickets to the 2017 ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans, LA from June 30 – July 2 (Provided by McDonald’s; Approximate Retail Value $800), and lodging at the Hilton Riverside Hotel (1 room for 3 nights provided by McDonald’s; Approximate Retail Value $920).
4. Employees of WUBU FM, Federated Media, McDonald’s USA LLC or its parent companies, franchisee affiliates, subsidiaries and agents, contest sponsors, and principals and employees of all media communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WUBU FM main studio are not eligible to enter to win contest.
5. All prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash. Winner must accept prize package as presented. Failure to comply with this provision will result in forfeiture of the prize by the winner.
6. Contest participants and winners consent to allow WUBU FM and McDonald’s of Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan the use of their name, voice and/or likeness for promotional advertisements for the station with no monetary or other compensation.
7. Winners are solely responsible for claiming their prize and/or fulfilling travel arrangements.  Prizes are to be claimed at the WUBU FM offices during regular business hours. Any prize not claimed within a 30-day period will become property of WUBU FM.
8. Winners must be able to produce proper identification to claim prize.  Winner is responsible for all local, state, and federal taxes, insurance, title and any additional fees. This includes, but is not limited to, all passport and processing fees. Other restrictions may apply.
9. Only one prize may be won in the last 30 days. Only one prize valued at $500 or more may be won in the last year. All prizes won within less time than these waiting periods will be forfeited.
10. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
11. Guest must be 21 years of age or older.
